Around the Town: North Country HealthCare expansion breaks ground

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 On Friday, North Country HealthCare will break ground on the expansion of its clinic on North Fourth Street beginning at noon. The community is invited, and free hamburgers will be provided. North Country's expansion will be about 6,300 square feet, a 20 percent increase in size, and the space will be used to create 12 new exam rooms. This will make it possible for North Country to serve from 2,700 to 5,400 additional patients per year. North Country expects to add 11 staff positions, and the project will generate about 11 construction jobs. The funding will also make it possible for North Country to install photovoltaic panels at the Fourth Street facility to generate clean, renewable electricity. Read more...
